Don Doctor serves as Executive Chairman on CompuCom’s Board of Directors, focusing on strategic growth areas, acquisitions and special projects for the Company, a role he resumed in November 2016 after serving for two years as CompuCom's Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Don set CompuCom's course and deterministic strategy to focus on key market verticals, as well as expand the company's reach and capabilities, supported by emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things. Don was instrumental in transforming the Company during his tenure as CEO.
Prior to his CEO role, Don served as Executive Chairman of CompuCom’s board and has been a member of the board since May 2013. He is also currently the Executive Chairman of Systems Maintenance Services (SMS), having additionally served as SMS’ Chief Executive Officer.
Before joining SMS, Don served as the Chairman and CEO of Encoda Systems, Inc., a provider of back-office solutions for the media industry. In 1991, Don co-founded Premier Systems Integrators, Inc., a provider of integrated information and communication technology. Prior to that, Don was a Partner and Vice President at Spectrum Associates, Inc. and he also served in various capacities with Lincoln National Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business with concentrations in Accounting and Computer Science from Indiana University.
