Focused on innovation, this retail powerhouse delivers engaging shopping experiences to its guests through its vast network of discount stores and robust e-commerce site. This retailer, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, is recognized as the second largest general merchandise retailer in the U.S. Approximately 361,000 team members support retail operations across more than 1,800 stores in the U.S.
In 1996, this retailer’s organization comprised three separate business entities. Looking to reap the benefits of a streamlined sourcing model, the parent company elected to partner with a single IT service provider to address in-store technology requirements across the three separate environments. Doing so would allow them to stay focused on core business requirements, while at the same time, keep in-store technology up-to-date and managed more efficiently and cost effectively. With a dynamic store environment, this retailer needed a reliable and flexible partner with a strong understanding of the retail industry, and the ability to swiftly respond to better support rapidly evolving business requirements.
The client turned to CompuCom to manage all in-store technology for its operations across the U.S. CompuCom provides comprehensive on-site and remote support to more than 1,900 U.S. stores, 33 distribution centers and 80 district offices.
