Company among the top scorers in IT industry

FORT MILL, SC, May 6, 2024 – Compucom, a leading technology sourcing, integration and services company, was named a Bronze Medalist in the EcoVadis Sustainability Scorecard. The scorecard focused on four themes – Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The Bronze Medal positions Compucom in the top 35% of all companies that participated in the assessment.

The EcoVadis methodology at the heart of its Ratings and Scorecards is an evaluation of how well a company has integrated the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into their business and management system. The methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000 and illustrates performance across 21 indicators.

“Sustainability is a major concern for our associates, customers and partners. We are pleased to be recognized among the industry leaders by EcoVadis and are always looking for continuous improvement across the four major categories.”

Paul Gagnier, Compucom Chief Legal Officer and the company’s lead for overseeing CSR efforts

Some of Compucom’s CSR activities over the past year include:

  • 4,000+ hours volunteered by associates in their communities
  • 130,000+ devices repaired, reused, resold or remarketed on behalf of customers
  • 4 tons of e-waste recycled

The company also recently committed to take part in Canada’s Net Zero Challenge and was recognized as one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024” by Newsweek.

“The future of work is not only hybrid but also sustainable. Technology plays a central role in both hybrid work and sustainable work. Compucom sits at the intersection, helping our customers source and integrate technology sustainably in order to enhance the employee and customer experience today and for the future.”
