CompuCom Trademark Use in Text
Proper use of CompuCom trademarks is important. You may use CompuCom trademarks or services names to refer to CompuCom services provided you follow these guidelines. You must not mislead buyers into thinking CompuCom is a sponsor, affiliate or otherwise endorsing your company or your products or services, unless a separate agreement is in place that stipulates this.
Identifying CompuCom and CompuCom Services
When referring to CompuCom software and products, apply the appropriate trademark symbols in accordance with the list of current CompuCom trademarks below. The CompuCom name should ALWAYS be written as one word with two capital “C” letters used, and the remaining letters lowers case. The active CompuCom trademarks are:
- CompuCom® is a registered trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.
- ClientLink® is a registered trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.
- Solution Café® is a registered trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.
- We Know IT™ is a trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.
- IIM® is a registered trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.
- The Leading IT Outsourcing Specialist™ is a trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.
When referencing CompuCom trademarks and registered trademarks, always include the proper notation after the name and logo as listed above. In text it is only necessary to annotate the first instance of the trademark in a given document or webpage. After the first instance you may drop the ® or ™ after the word. When using the CompuCom logo, always include the ® in every instance. Logos may only be used under license from CompuCom.
Include an attribution of CompuCom ownership of the trademark(s) in the credit notice section of your documentation, advertisement, or website. Follow this format: “CompuCom is a registered trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.” or for trademarks “We Know IT is a trademark of CompuCom Systems, Inc.” A generic reference that states to the effect of “all of the trademarks referenced in this document are those of their respective owners” is not acceptable.
Do Not Use Possessive or Plural Form
When using a CompuCom brand, never vary the spelling, add or delete hyphens, make one word two, or use a possessive or plural form of the CompuCom name.
When using the CompuCom logo, never modify the design, add or delete any elements or words, change any colors or proportions. Do not use the CompuCom logo, symbols, or icons on or in connection with products, services, manuals, promotional or advertising materials, or websites for any purpose except pursuant to an express written trademark license or other agreement with CompuCom.
The CompuCom logo is red and should be displayed on a white or transparent background. The established size and positioning must not be altered. The minimum clear space required on all sides of the CompuCom logo is .25”.
The logo should only be used as illustrated below, either in color or black and white. To obtain approved versions of the CompuCom logo, please request them from your CompuCom business contact.
When using the logo with another logo or image, the appropriate space to leave around the logo is the same as the “C” in the logo itself. When next to another logo, that spacing doubles.
Company, Service, and Domain Names
Do not use or register any CompuCom trademark, including CompuCom logos, symbols, icons, or any potentially confusing variation thereof, as part of your company name, trade name, product name, service name, or domain name. Do not place your company name, trademarks, service marks, or product names next to, or combine them with, a CompuCom service name. CompuCom’s registered domain names include, but are not limited to:
Presentations and Slide Decks
CompuCom trademarks and logos should always be attributed with the proper symbol and footnoted on all presentations that are displayed to the public, including sales, trade shows, etc.
Endorsement or Sponsorship
Do not use any CompuCom trademark in a manner that implies an affiliation with or endorsement by CompuCom. Do not use any CompuCom trademark in such a manner that it appears CompuCom is legally associated with your company.
Do not manufacture, sell, or give away promotional items, such as bags, notebooks, or shirts, that use any CompuCom trademark, including logos, except with a written trademark license from CompuCom.
Do not imitate CompuCom logos, logotypes, or other elements of CompuCom services and websites in any of your materials, including but not limited to advertising, websites, and promotional materials.
Slogans and Taglines
Do not use or imitate any CompuCom tagline, including, but not limited to "The Leading IT Outsourcing Specialist™” or “We Know IT™".
CompuCom only issues joint press releases with another company if it is an Alliance Partner with whom there is a signed Alliance Agreement. There are no exceptions. With Alliance Partners, we do not automatically issue press releases to announce the relationship, nor do we necessarily engage in joint marketing activities. All press releases referencing CompuCom or quoting CompuCom employees, must receive written approval from CompuCom’s Chief Marketing Officer or their designee prior to release.
